What is the current version of compact that is included with APW for making OMF 2.0 files frm OMF 1.0 files?  I have version 1.2, and it works fairly well, but it messes up sometimes when I compact my terminal programs.  (v1.2 works on wordperfect and a bunch of other previously uncompactable programs).

  12. 1.2 is the last released version of COMPACT.  Any idea exactly what it's messing up?

  20. I've heard about Compact not being able to work on an over 500k load file, so it was stuck being so big (a port of the unix game moria.) Don't know exactly what the error was..
  21. I've pretty much put up with all the bugs in the APW version now. (The same ones that have always been there) so if we ever get a new version, I'll have to find some new bugs to work around..

  27. What version of COMPACT do you have, Doug?  I think 1.2 is the latest.  I don't know about file-size problems, but I know at least one version had trouble if the file had more than 12 (?) segments.

I said I only heard of it. This was from Jason Harper on Compuserve, when doing the GS port of Moria.. I'm sure he has the latest version. I didn't think they ever had updated any of the tools. (ie. somethings like makelib still have major bugs in them... way back from the first beta that I know of.. )
